Most controversial ads that have been banned

Major fashion brand Yves Saint Laurent recently came under fire after releasing this black and white ad featuring a thin model. The ad was officially banned in the U.K. by The Advertising Standards Authority ruling that model was "unhealthily underweight" and that her rib cage was "visible and appeared prominent." The ruling argued that the way the photo was lit made her rib cage appear protruding and in turn unhealthy. They also focused on her thin legs adding that "her thighs and knees appeared a similar width, and looked very thin."
